"New to Liberty Baptist Church?"

Welcome to Liberty Baptist Church, a church with a heart for reaching the greater Dayton area for Christ. We lift up the Lord Jesus Christ as the only means of salvation for a lost and dying world. God’s hand is upon our ministry and we experience his presence in our services and see his work in the lives of those who attend. It is a church that is family focused, where Christians are challenged and sinners are given hope.

Liberty Baptist Church was founded in 1988 by Pastor Craig L. Lovell, who served the Lord faithfully until his race was finished and the Lord called him home in October of 2013. Visit our tribute to Pastor Lovell, who was a faithful shepherd and a good friend.

Please take a few moments and look through our website. Although our congregation is small, we are involved in reaching others for Christ and helping Christians to grow spiritually. My desire is to see your spiritual life strengthened, your family strengthened and for you to live for Him.

I would be glad to talk to you more or visit with you personally to answer your questions about the Bible, our church, or most importantly, how you can know for sure that you will go to heaven when your life on earth is over. You may contact me by phone, or through our contact form.  Come and visit with us.  I look forward to personally meeting you.

If you are new to church or searching for an old-fashioned church home, we invite you attend the Liberty Baptist Church.

Pastor Tom Gresham

"How we can serve you?”

What kind of church are you?
We are, without apology, an old-fashioned, fundamental, independent, soul-winning, Bible-believing, local Baptist church with many ministries to serve you and the needs of your whole family. No matter your age we have something for everyone!  We have a strong Bible-based teaching ministry and believe in saturating everything we do in the Word of God. You will hear hearty "Amens!" in our worship services.

What Bible do you use?
We believe and use the 1611 King James Version Bible. If you do not have a bible, we will provide one for you to use during the service.

What kind of music does your church have?
Here at Liberty we cling to the old ways emphasizing traditional, Christ-honoring hymns and songs. We sing from hymnals instead of from screens and our church has hearty congregational singing. We have a choir as well as several groups and individual singers. Our music is conservative yet lively rather than contemporary.

What should I wear?
Although Liberty is an old fashioned conservative church, Pastor Gresham is more concerned with your spiritual state than your appearance. You will notice most of the women choose to wear modest skirts or dresses and the men in suits or dress pants, but we want you to feel welcome no matter how you dress.

Am I expected to participate in the offering?
We do not invite you here for your money. Here at Liberty we do not pass an offering plate during our services. We want to be a blessing to you and your family regardless of your financial status. Occasionally special offerings are taken by placing a basket at the front of the auditorium; however as our guest you are not expected to give.

What if I want to give?
At the rear of the auditorium there is an offering box where our folks give their tithes and offerings. You are not obligated to give, but should you desire to, just drop your offering in the box. Should you desire a tax-deductible receipt, simply put your offering in an offering envelope and fill out the front of the envelope. At the end of the year you will receive a receipt.

What about my children?
Starting with an excellent nursery, there is something special for every age child!
Every Service – At every service there is a safe, clean and highly staffed nursery for children three and under.

Sunday School (10:00 A.M.) – In addition to the nursery, we have classes for children and adults. The ushers will gladly direct you to the right classrooms.

Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting – In addition to the nursery, we have Patch the Pirate Club for children 4-12 years old.

What kind of spiritual education do you offer adults?
We have Adult Sunday School and very soon will have Bible classes offered through the Liberty School of the Scriptures, which will be free to attend at the church or take on-line. We will announce the classes as soon as they are available and will also have more information on our web page.
